Characteristics:	Grape Harvester is a vertical relief centred on a female figure. Her body leans slightly beneath the weight of the large container resting on her shoulder, while plant-like forms and richly textured surfaces suggest the rural setting around her. The modelling is direct and expressive, with simplified volumes, rough textures and a varied patina of green, brown, blue and copper tones. The dark container stands out against both the figure and the background, becoming the main visual focus of the composition.

Description:	Antonio Oteiza deliberately focuses the scene on a single worker. The grape harvest is not presented as a festive occasion or as an idyllic image of country life. Instead, the work is shown through its physical demands: the woman adjusts her posture to the burden she carries, making the effort of the task immediately visible. Her face is only lightly defined. The figure is identified not through individual features, but through movement and action. In this way, the grape harvester becomes more than a specific person: she represents the many women whose labour has sustained rural communities across generations. The landscape is only suggested. A plant-like form rises along one side, while irregular volumes in the upper section evoke branches, leaves or clusters of grapes. These elements do not form a separate background; they seem to emerge from the same material as the woman herself. The uneven surface and shifting tones reinforce this close connection between figure and earth. From a simple scene of agricultural work, Oteiza creates an image of quiet strength, perseverance and human dignity.
